Passing the EBEL examination is a formal, publicly recognised statement that you have met the standard — assessed independently, across borders, by your peers at the highest level.

The first cohort

Be among the first to carry the EBEL credential

Places for the inaugural examination are strictly limited. This is intentional to ensure a rigorous, well-managed first sitting, and to preserve what it means to be among the first.

Those who sit and pass the first EBEL examination will carry something no future cohort can: the distinction of having been there at the beginning.

Eligibility

Who is this exam for?

The examination is intended for qualified ORL-HN surgeons with a dedicated focus on laryngology who want to demonstrate capabilities compatible with completed fellowship training. As the exam will be tailored to candidates with significant clinical experience, we request candidates to supply the following forms:

We ask this to safeguard candidates from entering the exam too early without the experience needed for a successful result. If doubt arises about the experience of the candidate, the EEBL Board may request additional information.
